Students participate in kiln loading nad firing procedures and techniques, glaze formulation, mixing clay bodies and kiln design. Emphasis is on the relationship of surface decoration to form and form to function while encouraging personal philosophy, vision, and viewpoints on the creative process in both utilitarian forms and sculptural ceramics.
