4 hours; 4 credits Contributions of psychology to the study of disabilities will be discussed in a framework including physical, emotional, and cognitive disabilities. Topics may include the measurement of intelligence, eugenics, mental disorders, nomenclature and diagnosis, treatment methods coping strategies, crosscultural issues, and quality of life and activism of people with disabilities and their families.
