2 hours; 2 credits Student teachers reflect upon the educational philosophies that they have studied and the methodologies that they are implementing as they develop their own philosophical approaches to teaching and learning. The teacher’s role in developing environments that are safe and nurturing as well as intellectually stimulating and challenging for all students is examined. Hazards to children, including child abuse and substance abuse, will be discussed. To be taken concurrently with EDE 400. Prerequisite: a GPA of 2.75 or above
