3 class hours, 3 laboratory hours; 4 credits Binary and hexadecimal number systems, computer structure, machine language, instruction formats and execution, addressing techniques, and digital representation of data. Computer systems organization, symbolic coding and assembly systems, programming techniques, program segmentation and linkage. Students will complete computer projects in machine language and assembly language. Prerequisite: A grade of C or above in either CSC 126 or 270
