The first semester covers atomic and molecular structure, chemical bonding, reactions, stoichiometry, and the gaseous, liquid, and solid states of matter. (science) Pre- or corequisite: MTH 123 Corequisite: CHM 121 Note: Students are advised that satisfactory completion of one year of high school chemistry or a college-level introductory chemistry course is essential preparation for this course.
