BUS 150 - Essential Software Tools for Business

4 hours; 3 credits This course is a hands-on introduction to the use of microcomputers in business. The emphasis will be on the operating system and practical use of the most popular application software including spreadsheets, word processing, and database management. Data exchange among different applications and usage of external databases will also be introduced. Not open to students who have successfully completed CSC 102. Prerequisite: MTH 020 or an appropriate score on the CUNY Mathematics Assessment Test Note: Students can obtain both exemption from and course credit for BUS 150 by successfully completing four Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) exams, Versions 2002 or later, in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
