This course is an introduction to genetic changes in populations over time and to the models and evidence we use to identify and explain those changes. Topics include: influence of the environment, genotype-phenotype connections, Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium, genetic variation, genetic drift, in-breeding, natural selection, gene flow, speciation, phylogeny, macroevolutionary trends, and the fossil record.
