Th eoretical and research perspectives on prevention, diversity, empowerment, resilience, community intervention and ecological understandings of behavior. Causes of and interventions in social issues such as interpersonal and community violence and homelessness. Prereq: PSYC 401; 402; 502; 552, 553, or 561;/or permission. Writing intensive. 4 cr.
