Credits: 4 Lecture Hours: 3 Lab Hours: 3 Fee: $60 Description: An introduction to the biological sciences through a study of principles and concepts basic to the major discipline of biology. Topics include fundamentals of chemistry, cell structure and function, the nature of biological molecules, energetics, synthesis, and the morphology and physiology of animals and plants. Dissection is required as part of the laboratory syllabus. All remedial courses must be completed prior to taking this course.
