Prereq: junior standing, satisfactory completion of the IC requirement, consent of instructor; coreq: any CLA, LAT, or GRK course numbered 3000 or higher which satisfies major requirement. Offered for S and U grades only. No degree credit. Required for all majors. Grade in CLA 5993 is independent of grade in corequisite course. Disciplined writing assignments under the direction of a faculty member. Must be selected in conjunction with a designated corequisite; see section listing in Schedule of Classes for corequisites available each term.
