9 HOURS: 3 HOURS LECTURE; 6 HOURS, LABORATORY; 4 CREDITS Th e basic principles of pharmacology of drugs of abuse including cocaine, marijuana, sedatives, narcotics, stimulants, antidepressants, as well as chemicals such as alcohol, metals and designer drugs. Analysis of these chemicals and drugs in a variety of biological specimens using methods such as thin layer chromatography, gas chromatography, massspectrometry and immunoassays. Prerequisites: ENG 102 or ENG 201, CHE 315, and CHE 320-321
