Among the topics to be considered are: the French Revolution; the American Revolution; industrial capitalism and imperialism; Marxism; the World Wars; the Russian and Chinese Revolutions; the Great Depression and its impact; the Cold War; decolonization and the Th ird World; intellectual and cultural developments; civil rights, civil liberties, and democracy worldwide in the late 20th century.
