3 HOURS, 3 CREDITS A study of the storage, transportation, and use of hazardous material with an emphasis on fl ammable liquids, gases, cryogenics, and radioactive materials. It includes a systems analysis of methods of prevention, detection, control and suppression of emergency situations. Case studies form the basis of the course. Critical parameters and characteristics of hazardous materials are defi ned and studied. Prerequisites: ENG 101 and FIS 101
