3 HOURS, 1 CREDIT Designed for students who need to develop a higher degree of competence in coping with college texts. Emphasis is on advanced exercises in comprehension and vocabulary with an introduction to basic study skills. Students are required to complete 10 hours of independent study in the Reading and Study Skills Center. A grade of P is the only authorized passing grade for this course. Prerequisite: COM 101 or by the appropriate placement test score.
