Legal Studies 3 Credits This course provides an overview of the history and structure of criminal law and focuses on the elements of common crimes, common defenses, the concepts of criminal liability, criminal intent, and conduct punishable by the criminal law. The course is designed to give students an understanding of the development and current state of criminal law and the similarities and differences between criminal and civil law.
