Fall Semester An introductory, interdisciplinary survey of women’s lives in various areas such as work, family, sexuality, religion and politics. A study of the diversity and commonalities of women’s experiences, actions, and contributions across time and cultures. A review of major institutions and their views and treatment of women. A consideration of the changes and choices in women’s lives resulting from the contemporary women’s movement, as well as the major problems which still remain. Students will learn how their lives connect with the lives of women around them. This course meets the international/multicultural requirement. Prerequisite: ENG 1280 or 1290.
