Alternating Spring Semesters Spring 2006 Examines biological and sociological research on sex and gender. Two main questions will be studied: 1) Biology is destiny: scientific fact or sociocultural bias? 2) How are men and women similar and/or different, and what are the origins of these similarities and differences? (Same course as BIOL 2452, SOC 2452). Prerequisite: SOC 1000 or SOC 1600 and SCI 1010, or SCI 1020, or one course in biology, or permission of instructor.
