Offered Periodically The course studies the ritualistic dance masks and sculpture of North American and African tribes and their influence on contemporary visual ideas. The study also addresses the spiritual, social, and functional aspects of art in these cultures. When possible, the class will take a field trip to a Boston area museum or event. This course satisfies the international/multicultural requirement. Pre- or Corequisite: FA 1000.
