Next: Spring 2009 “Contemporary World History begins with an examination of the impact of the end of the Cold War on European states. Our analysis continues as we look at how European politics and societies have changed in the years since the end of the Cold War, addressing such issues as conflict, economic and political integration, immegration, changes in society and the nature of demorcracy. European developments are placed in a global context as we seek to understand Europe’s impact on the world and the impact of global developments on Europe.” Prerequisite: Junior standing or permission of instructor.
