Fall and Spring Semester A survey of psychoactive drugs emphasizing the social, psychological, and legal context of drug use. Four major aspects of use will include drug definitions, drug effects, drug related behavior and the drug experience throughout history. Discussion of prevention and treatment of drug abuse as well as social control of drug use will be included. Prerequisite: PSY 1030, or 1400.
