Offered Periodically An introduction to the world of electronic commerce, including balanced coverage of technical and business topics. The theories and practices needed to begin an online business starts with idea generation and progresses through business plans to create and maintain an e-business site. Payment systems, security and auxiliary systems, and other technical topics will be discussed. Case studies and business examples complement conceptual material to provide a real-world context. Prerequisite: Junior standing.
