It provides an understanding of and appreciation for a people whose complex culture is becoming increasingly more important to the United States, demographically, politically, and economically. Taught in English. No previous study of Spanish required. This course satisfies the international/multicultural requirement. Prerequisite: Sophomore standing or departmental approval.
