Spring Semester Consumer issues related to personal and community health in a variety of settings are identified and analyzed. Major areas explored are the health marketplace, health care, consumer protection, nutrition, major illnesses, health products and services, quackery, personal choices, alternatives to traditional health care, critical analysis of literature, historical perspectives, health policy, terminology, legislation, ethics and trends. Health education interventions and strategies are explored. Prerequisite: HE 1000.
