Offered Periodically Offers experience in practical criticism. Texts will be examined closely to find out what is really being said. Students will learn how to identify bias and logical fallacies. Using this approach, the students will quickly learn to recognize the concealed persuasive tactics within poetry, prose, and films, and assess these tactics. Prerequisite: Six (6) credits of English at the 1000-level.
