Fall Semester This course is intended to prepare students to implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum for the PreK-2 grade inclusive classroom. Students will learn to integrate all areas of the curriculum into lesson planning and will incorporate children’s literature, language arts, the creative arts and movement into their plans. Students will study classroom organization and management strategies that enhance active learning for all students (e.g., broad range of abilities, learning differences, and language differences including English Language Learners). Whenever possible, students will be asked to carry out and evaluate their lesson plans in their field experience placements. Prerequisite: ED 3190.
