Spring Semester This course will explore multiple perspectives on current issues and trends in education, the impact of these issues and trends have one children and their development, and the role of education in promoting healthy development for all children. The course will link educational trends to current events in order to examine the issues contributing to the role of education in our communities and our nation. There is an emphasis on the diverse and complex needs of children and whether or not these needs are being addressed through current education practices. Prerequisites: 2.5 cumulative average/no outstanding incompletes: ED 3115 or ED 3198 or ED 3510.
