Offered Periodically Gives practice in transactional writing: letters of application, inquiry, claims, and thanks; also studied: memoranda, directives, and short reports. A laboratory for revising and editing, this course requires writing under pressure, including abstracts, outlines, proposal writing, and thinking tactics. Students will learn the etiquette of email and the syntax and semantics rules to communicate effectively to a wide and diverse audience. Prerequisite: Six (6) credits of English at the 1000-level.
