Fall Semester This course addresses speech-language communication disorders in children. Review of typical development of speechlanguage and communication, as well as a typical development and its consequences in terms psychosocial and cognitive growth. Formal and informal assessment tools, remediation and support strategies are stressed. Supports and considerations of curricular modifications in the classroon environment for the student for the speech-language or communication disorder are closely examined. Augmentative and alternative communiation systems will be explored throughout the course. Prerequisite: ED 3190.
