Fall Semester This course provides an overview of developmentally appropriate practices for integrating the creative arts into early childhood programs. (Pre-K-2). The arts are explored as an important vehicle for enhancing self-esteem, literacy, and cognitive and socio-emotional development. Students will be expected to design developmentally appropriate activities for young children, and to demonstrate an ability to integrate the arts into all areas of the curriculum. Issues of inclusion will be addressed. Prerequisite or co-requisite: ED 2410.
