Explores the meaning of “inclusive community” in educationalsettings where individuals develop a positive environment based on mutual respect that promotes affirmative human growth and learning. Offers authentic opportunites to examine, reflect upon, and “do democracy,” that is, to fashion small groups thatform around 1) group decision-making, cooperation, and commitments 2) caring for the common good, and 3) exploring and valuing diversity. This course meets the international/multicultural requirement. (Same course as SOC 2150).
