Alternate Fall Semesters Fall 2007, 2009 Presents and encourages the use of theory and research dealing with factors which influence the effectiveness of groups of people communicating face to face for a shared purpose. Included is the presentation of practical techniques for maximizing one’s effectiveness in the small group setting, and one long-term group task designed to simulate the structure and working conditions of committees or task groups. Prerequisite: COM 1010 or permission of instructor.
