Alternate Fall Semesters Fall 2008 An introduction to organic chemistry; topics covered include stereochemistry, nucleophilic substitution, alkyl halides, alkanes, free radical reactions, alkenes, and alkynes. Corequisite: CHEM 2610. Prerequisites: CHEM 1010, CHEM 1110, CHEM 1020, CHEM 1120. Chemistry at Curry supports and gives added dimension and background to understand the concepts involved in the study of the environment and of life itself. Chemistry courses strongly support those majoring in Biology and Environmental Science, as well as those preparing for careers in nursing, medicine and technology.
