This course is a course designed to enhance students' communicative skills in American Sign Language in preparation for the Sign Language Studies program. Students will be given opportunities to expand their vocabulary related to common experiences (both informal and formal settings with deaf people). The student will utilize what they learned about ASL in class activities, video segments, dialogues, short stories, general conversations and class discussions. Particular attention will be placed on overall communicative ability, signing speed, accuracy and vocabulary building. Lecture ( 45.00) Prerequisites: ASL-201
