This course is designed for fine arts majors of all disciplines to meet as a group. This course will acquaint students with the evolution of contemporary ideas and issues in art: social, political and cultural. Through readings, exhibitions and group critiques, students will develop a context in which to understand the evolution of their own artwork and its relationship to contemporary art making practice.
