Exploration of the diverse processes that continually shape our physical environment. Develops an understanding of earth materials, how the earth works, the causes of natural disasters, and the overriding importance of geologic time. Includes minerals, rocks, volcanoes, radioactive dating, earthquakes, plate tectonics, rivers and floods, ground water resources, and glaciers.
