Global Positioning System (GPS) surveying and mapping techniques. Overview of satellite and system technology, examination of various GPS units available for applications, techniques using units individually or in combination for mapping and navigation, differential GPS methods, use in computer-generated maps. Prerequisite: permission of the department chairperson. A total of 3 hours of credit may be earned, but no more than 1 in any one semester or term.
