An introduction to the fundamentals of vocal and breathing techniques as they combine with text. A focus on an awareness of habit versus choice, with additional emphasis on the International Phonetic Alphabet and non-regional dialect. Taught in studio format with Movement Studio 1. Prerequisite: THEAT 233; permission of the instructor. Open only to theatre majors.
