Prerequisite(s): BIO 169, NUR 125, NUR 185, PSY 241 Corequisite(s): ENG 114 This course provides an opportunity to utilize the provider of care and manager of care roles to meet nursing needs of older adults in a variety of settings. Emphasis is placed on the aging process as it applies to normal developmental changes and alterations in health commonly occurring in the older adult. Upon completion, students should be able to apply the nursing process in caring for the older adult. Clinical practice assignments will reflect the scope of practice for which the student is preparing.
