4 class hrs. - 3 credits FALL, spring An introduction to fundamental theory, principles and procedures for service and merchandising enterprises with emphasis on such topics as merchandise inventory, plant assets, promissory notes, accounting systems, payroll, internal control, bad debts, adjustments and financial statements. Non business majors may enroll in this course for one credit. Students may receive one credit or three credits but not both. Students enrolling for one credit will cover approximately one third of the course.
