Topics include the Reformation, Age of Exploration, Traditional European monarchies, absolutism, constitutionalism, the Agricultural and Scientific Revolutions, the Enlightenment, the French Revolution, Industrialization, the political and social upheavals of the nineteenth century, colonialism, imperialism, nationalism, and nineteenth century state building, and the political, economic and social crises of the twentieth century.
