A course devoted to an examination of the conduct of systematic research in political science and public policy. A broad range of topics will be considered, including such subjects as research design, identification and use of data bases, as well as the collection, description and analysis of data. Review of some of the typical approaches and theories used in the study of politics. Offered every spring. (P: six credit hours in POSC; MATH 211 is recommended.)
