This course analyzes certain problems faced by the American people since the end of Reconstruction. These problems include the effects of industrialization, social, economic and political reform, imperialism, immigration, urbanization, populism, progressivism, the transformation from isolationism to a position of world power, the New Deal, World War I, World War II, the Cold War, revival of feminism and racism. HSTY 202 fulfills the SUNY General Education American History requirement. An honors section is offered. Prerequisite: Prior completion or concurrent enrollment in ENGL 101. 3 Cr. (3 Lec.) Fall and spring semesters.
