Patterns in our number system, including Pascal's triangle and its use in probability set theory with applications, including Venn diagrams, clock arithmetic and numeration systems, particularly base 2, logic, including the study of truth tables and the nature of proofs, and an introduction to geometry are studied in order to provide students with a broad, general overview of some areas of interest and utility in mathematics. Prerequisite: MATH 090 or basic arithmetic skills. 3 Cr. (3 Lec.) Fall and spring semesters.
