Historical perspectives, consideration of major contemporary issues including race and ethnicity, disorder and community relations, and the impact of cultural diversity on law enforcement. Personnel systems, organization and management, police operations and discretion, police culture and behavior, ethics and deviance, civil liability and the future of policing. Prerequisite: CJ101. Note: CJ201 must be completed with a grade of C or higher before other CJ courses may be taken.
