Students will explore curriculum models and topics for social studies in grades K-12. They will review periods of history and diverse geographic areas through children’s literature. Concepts of culture will be explored through art and music. Unit plans will incorporate a variety of qualitative assessment devices. Emphasis will be placed on strategies that encourage critical thinking, creative thinking, and media literacy. Prerequisite: ED224. Spring
