Enables students to understand, recognize, and use typography as an effective communication tool. The main emphases will be a study of the development of typographic technology, the acquisition and practicing of basic skills, and the refining of a design sense for the printed word. Students will make considerable use of our Macintosh electronic publishing workstations and high-resolution imagesetter. Materials fee. Prerequisite: GC302.
