Specific topics include: freedom of expression under the First Amendment, freedom of and from religion, defendants’ rights, and protection from racial and other forms of discrimination as provided by the Fourteenth Amendment’s guarantee of due process and the “equalprotection of the laws.” Prerequisite: PO352, or permission of the instructor.
