It proceeds from the knowledge that gender roles are highly differentiated across all forms of modern mass communication (the print media, film, radio, television, and the Internet) and focuses especially on the repetitive process of uni-dimensional signification of women in the realm of popular culture discourse. Prerequisite: permission of instructor.
