Students may take internships in music to enhance their knowledge and experience in the music professions. All internships must be approved by the Music Department coordinator(s), and Division Chair. Agreements about internships are reached by the student, supervising faculty member and the proposed employer. Evaluation is made by the supervising faculty member in consultation with the on-site work supervisor. Credits are awarded on the basis of 40 hours of work per credit. No more than 3 credits may be awarded for any one internship. Students are allowed to participate in no more than two separate internships. Prerequisites: junior class standing and a declared major in music. In addition to its regular Music courses, the Department offers the following from time to time in response to student needs and interests:
