This course is a study of the fundamental concepts and laws of mechanics with emphasis on the conservation laws. It focuses on scalar and vector qualities of mechanics, rectilinear and circular motion, equilibrium and Newton's laws of motion, work, energy, momentum, and the conservation laws. It is designed for students majoring in engineering, the sciences, mathematics, and computer science programs. Prerequisite: High school physics or PHY 110 and MTH 118 3/0/0 FA/SP
